What happened? Authorities said a Nissan 370Z driven by a 85-year-old Ocala woman was eastbound on Southwest 73rd Street Road.

A 57-year-old woman, also from Ocala, was behind the wheel of an older model Chevy Silverado pickup truck. She was northbound on SR 200.

Troopers said the Nissan attempted to turn onto SR 200 and turned in front of the pickup truck. The vehicles collided. Upon impact, the Chevy overturned onto its passenger side, troopers said.

Both drivers were taken to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, where the older woman died. The other woman was listed in serious condition at the hospital, officials said.
