A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death at Ballarat on Saturday morning.
Police have alleged the woman stabbed the man at a Park Lane, Mount Helen property just before 8am on Saturday.
Despite attempts by emergency services to save his life, he died at the scene.
The woman, who was known to the man, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
No charges have been laid and she is expected to be interviewed by detectives later today.
Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
