Phoenix police have arrested a woman wanted in connection with stealing an Amazon delivery truck.
Officers got the call at about 4 p.m. on Saturday that someone had heisted the truck. They checked neighborhoods and found it near 89th Avenue and McDowell Road.
They tried to stop the truck, but the driver refused and sped away. Though no pursuit occurred, they caught up to her when she stopped and ran from the truck near the Interstate 10 freeway westbound off-ramp and 91st Avenue.
They took the woman, 31-year-old Salina Marie Duran, into custody.
Duran was listed as an inmate on the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office website on Sunday afternoon. Her bond was set for more than $50,000, and her next court appearance was scheduled for Dec. 27.
Potential charges included theft and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
