Women face prostitution charges following arrests South Abington spa

SOUTH ABINGTON TWP. — An undercover investigation into suspected prostitution activities led to the arrests of two women at Queen Spa, Northern Boulevard, South Abington Township, police said.

Jung Park, 45, faces felony and misdemeanor counts of promoting prostitution following her arrest on Jan. 3. Hyun Jung Jun, 51, who told officers she was visiting from Flushing, New York, faces misdemeanor prostitution charges.

The charges stem from a probe by members of the Scranton Police Street Crimes Unit, Lackawanna County detectives and South Abington Township police, who received information about suspicious operations at the business.

Two undercover officers posed as potential customers and contacted a woman at the phone number listed for the business and set up an appointment for services, according to the criminal complaint.

When the undercover officers arrived at the business at the agreed-upon time on Jan. 3, they were met by Park and Jun, who led them to separate rooms.

Park also admitted she agreed to perform sexual acts in exchange for money. She told officers she answers the phone for the business and arranges appointments.

As law enforcement officers were concluding their investigation at the business, a male customer walked in and admitted he was there for a massage and sexual services. He said he obtained such services during two previous visits to the business.

Investigators also found a cellphone, two iPhones and quantities of cash totaling over $1,100 in their search.
