York man dies after crashing Mustang in Anne Arundel County, Md.

A York man died in a single-vehicle crash in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, this morning, according to police.

In a news release, Anne Arundel County Police said Frank Howard, 53, of York was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash at 4:30 a.m.

“On December 26, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Eastern District officers responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Fort Smallwood Road and Lauren Way. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 1994 Ford Mustang left the roadway and collided with a tree. The sole occupant and operator of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The Traffic Safety Section is actively investigating the incident,” said the news release.
